Since March 5, 2005,
when we started out as a simple Myspace blog, Mets Merized Online
has become one of the most popular Major League Baseball blogs on
the web.
In 2006, Mets Merized Online officially launched on the web and
thanks to the tremendous head start we received from over 15,000
Myspace friends, we became one of the fastest growing sports sites
in the country.
The name was adopted from the original 1986 Metsmerized theme song,
and as a tribute to the original Mets Blog, MetsOnline.net and
founder Bryan Hoch, we added Online to our official name. And thus
Mets Merized Online was born.
MMO has received many accolades over the years and has been featured
or referred to in the New York Times, AM New York, NY Daily News, NY
Post, Newsday, 660 WFAN, MLB Trade Rumors, MetsBlog, ESPN.com, AOL
Fanhouse, Yahoo Sports and many other sports sites.
When Willie Randolph was fired, Mets Merized Online was one of the
first to break the story thanks to one of our writers who was on
location in California when it happened. The very next morning
several quotes from our article appeared on several mainstream
sports sites and also printed in the front page story on AM New
York, Manhattan's largest circulated newspaper.

In 2010, we became the
third highest ranked Mets Site on Ballhype, behind only MetsBlog and
Amazin Avenue. This comes after being ranked #7 in 2009 and #10 in
2008.
In 2009 we were the #1 ranked Mets site on Yardbarker.com and we had
over 25 of our posts featured on their front page and in their
Exclusive Morning Bark.
Mets Merized Online is also known for being the number one source on
the web for Mets team graphics. We are dedicated to creating the
best graphics, layouts and web art free of charge to help promote
the New York Mets. Our labor of love is featured on over twenty-five
thousand Myspace, Facebook and web pages all over the internet.
What sets us apart from
many other sites is our diversity in opinions, and our passion and
love of the Mets. We feature writers who have been following the
Mets since their founding in 1962 and those who caught the fever in
1986. We have writers who love advanced metrics and some who don't.
We have writers who believe in heart, grit and being clutch, and
writers who don't.
We cover every Mets topic from all angles and our readers only add
to the overall coverage.
We do not edit
comments, ban those who disagree, employ captcha codes or require
you to jump through hoops in a drawn our registration process.

We invite all Mets fans,
young and old, to become a part of our growing Mets community, and
weigh in with your opinions and join our lively debates either in
our comments section or in our 24/7 Live Chat.
Since our humble beginnings, we have always accepted your Fan Posts
and Guest Blogs and it was your contributions that ultimately led to
this Amazin' Site we have today. We take pride for helping to start
the multi author site craze in the Mets blogosphere when we rolled
out a 15 writer staff in 2006! Today we number 30+ strong and no two
opinions are ever alike. Last season we averaged 5.2 posts per day.
We now have over 25,000 combined followers on Twitter, Facebook and
Myspace.
We have over 1,500 RSS feeds in use and MicroRSS puts Mets Merized
Online in the top .70% of over 8 million registered feeds.
Over 500 passionate Mets fans subscribe to our "Mets In The Morning"
daily email.
As of January 2010 we average over 93,000 hits per day and we expect
to double that total this season.
Add us to your favorites and enjoy the ride as we provide you with
everything you need to follow our beloved New York Mets.
